One of CARD’s first contracts was the construction of the water supply system for Baptist High School Mankon (BHS) in 2000 funded by the British High Commission in Cameroon. CARD at the time was known as BOTA which eventually emerged to be known as CARD. The system operates by gravity thus providing constant water to the school even till this day. This has been of great help to student and staff who use to fetch water from nearby streams early in the morning and late in the evening risking students from snake bites and delays in preparing for classes thus with the construction of the water supply system for the school it’s much easier for students to carry water from the stand taps next to thier dormitories, classrooms and toilets.
