CARD was born from HELVETAS, a prestigious Swiss organization that operated in Cameroon for decades. When HELVETAS departed in 2007, we continued their legacy—bringing Swiss precision and community-centered engineering to rural Cameroon.
Today, we stand as an independent, registered NGO with our headquarters in Bamenda. We are non-political, non-profit, and uncompromising in our commitment to quality.

One of CARD’s first contracts was the construction of the water supply system for Baptist High School Mankon (BHS) in 2000 funded by the British High Commission in Cameroon

No project begins without rigorous hydrogeological studies, soil testing, and community needs assessment.
Beneficiary communities contribute labor, local materials, and form management committees. They own the project from day one.
